I am doing a 2012 journal but couldn't decide how to do the cover BUT yesterday an idea came to me....well really I should have been doing housework well we all know housework always waits for us....but a creative idea must be done straight away lol.
I actually had the window sitting on my table for about 2 weeks but wasn't sure how to do it...
I played with paints, texture paste, Glimmer mists,Gel medium, glitter, diamond dust, Versa colour,papers and stencils.
and this is how it turned out.

This mixed Media wine bottle took me 2 weeks, so many layers and waiting for the layers to dry, I didn't want to use a heat gun just wanted things to dry naturally.
A recycled wine bottle using many recycled products, before I threw anything out I would think can I use this on the bottle lol, it is my first wine bottle and it won't be my last I had so much fun, just let my muse lead the way !!!!

The Three Muses Challenge this week "Tis The Season "
I love snow and Christmas so decided to make my first ever Domino book.
I followed a tutorial by the very talented Laura Carson.
This little album is only 1 inch x 2 inches.
The images came from Lisa's altered art.

It has been wet the last couple of days so great weather to stay inside and scrap !!!
So I have made a couple of journals.
The first one .... the background is music paper which I have inked,stamped and misted plus added a doily feather and lace. The image is from Moonlight Journey, butterfly from stash, the birdcage, cat and key are from Scratmatts.
The other Journal I have used a serviette technique for the back ground then stamped.
The image is from Moonlight Journey Chippies from Scrapmatts.
These are Christmas gifts.

The first day in December!!!! So my Christmas tree is up and decorated and here are just a few Christmas cards I have made.
The first three I have used some beautiful images from Moonlight Journey, you will find their button on my side bar.
All the other cards I have used images from the net.
I have used several Techniques on the cards,inking, stamping, misting etc.
So is everyone busy getting ready for Christmas ?????
It is a busy time but a wonderful time of the year !!!

Well I have had a lovely afternoon, I called in to a new shop here on the Coast.
Lynda's Craft Haven such a beautiful shop with a shabby atmosphere, beautiful laces and the most gorgeous flowers adorn the walls and shelves
Can you tell I love Shabby....lol but I also love grunge and Steampunk.
So I left the shop with a bag of G45 few grunge style things and some adorable pps, laces and flowers to create a couple of journals

The Theme is an ATC shaped as an ornament for the Christmas tree then send with a handmade Christmas card.

Good morning Well the theme over at Three Muses this week is "WINGS"
Once again mine is an ATC.
The background and image is from Moonlight Journey.
Butterfly's are stamped using chalk ink then embossed, the bottom butterfly I have cut out. The wings behind the image are chipboard painted then embossed

Good Morning...Well family and friends have asked me to show a few photos of our new dwelling it is a 3BR spacious unit over looking a pool and lagoon.
The first pic is a close up of the two canvases we bought 120x80cm each so yes they are pretty big.
The other pics are lounge, kitchen, en suite and yes craftroom a work in progress still not fully unpacked lol.
Finally I have started some scrapping after a 5 week break I am hosting two Christmas ATC swaps.

I unpacked in a hurry just to empty the boxes and put things away..... now I can't find things...duuuuu.
I opened the linen cupboard the other day and everything fell out on top of me........ not funny when you are hit by flying towels, sheets and blankets and pillows... lol
Hubby was going to take a photo but couldn't find the camera.
So this week is all about sorting and having everything neat and tidy again.

I host an ATC swap every second month at AD and last month I set the theme " Steam Punk "
and this is the ATC I did for my partner.
The image is from the net, items from my stash and I have used colourful thoughts jewel enamels, distressed inks and crackle medium.

I was GDT at AD last month and my CC challenge was to do an ATC of a famous man.

Hi I am back, been busy packing and moving now almost finished unpacking *Sigh*

Last night we went to see my beautiful GD perform in a play Beauty and the Beast, she had the lead role Belle.
Oh wow she was so good...such a lovely voice for a 12 years old, like a seasoned performer.

Just before we moved I made these two cards for a challege at Scraptherapy

Back from a holiday !!

I am just back from a few days holiday on the Sunshine Coast, the weather was fantastic and we had a wonderful holiday.... it was soooooooo good no cooking, washing or housework.

This month I am a Guest DT @ ART So I have set an inspirational challenge.
Take inspiration from the photo and also add some paint, misting or inking.

This is my example.
I have used three shades of glimmer mist on the doily.
I have also inked some of the flowers and papers.

I have made the umbrella 3D on the photo.

Another Shabby !!!!

Good morning !!! hope you are all having a fantastic week end...
Another LO I did last week
The background pp is Melissa Frances the border is Bella Chipz which I have painted and inked to match the colours in the pp.
The frame is just white paper which I have cut into a frame and embossed then lightly inked with pink.
I have used Twiddleybitz from the packet Fern leaves assorted then used Jewel enamel Apitite also available from Twiddleybitz.
Added a couple of flowers and bling and lace !!!!

The flower is available from my2Angels !!!!

My last LO got an HM at Lets Get Shabby and I was sooooo excited I was scrolling through the list and was so surprised to see my LO !!!!

This is a LO for the challenge ADMIRE at the bird is the word.
I have used Prima PPs.
Prima flower.
Bo bunny embellishments.
Twiddleybitz and Colourful Thoughts Jewel enamel.

The word Admire I have used colourful Thoughts Deep gold then when the enamel was dry I rubbed some dark brown ink into the letters to give an aged effect.

Well I have hardly done any scrapping lately no MOJO. I have only made three cards since my last post.
The two yellow cards are for a challenge at ScrapTherapy
One dominant colour plus one button and string for each card.

This card is for a challenge at Twiddleybitz.
I lave used a Twiddleybitz butterfly and used Colourful thoughts.
Light Copper...Apitite.....and Deep gold.

This is a framed ART doll I have used the back of a canvas as the frame G45 paper, fabric, lace Prima flower and leaves Twiddleybitz. The butterfly is stamped on newspaper then cut out.

I have painted the window with Acrylic paint then sanded and added a coat of white crackle paint to the window frame and the inside I used white embossing powder.

Home now after a few days away, we stayed in a beautiful unit 9th floor beach front.

I don't have much to show but I have been busy doing DT duties which I can't show yet and also making more Christmas cards.
I am in a private ATC swap and this month well Naturally a Christmas theme.
Because everyone is so busy this time of the year, we only had to do one card to send to one person..The swap had a little twist...we had to do a Christmas stocking with a little gift inside......WOW a tiny little stocking with a tiny little gift inside.
OHhhhhh yes I loved this swap......but what would fit into that tiny little stocking...
I even found my sewing machine to make the little stocking...lol
WELL take a close look I did it... yes even wrapped it in Christmas paper....lol
What is the gift ....little charms from my2angels...the link to the shop is on my side bar....
Monday this ATC will be winging it's way to the USA....

Twiddleybitz Swirly Christmas Tree !!!!!

I bought this Twiddleybitz Tree kit last year but never got around to making it...
So over at Art Toni has set a challenge to do Table decorations. SO I thought now is the time to do the Swirly Christmas Tree it can be a centre piece.
But I didn't read the list Duuuuuuuuuu silly me lol
See here is the list nothing about Centre piece. lol
Anyway thanks Toni at least I did it this year !!!!!!

The tree I have painted using Kaiser Antique white then stamped over it using the colour Pinecone.

I don't have a lot to show as I have a few things on the go but as yet not finished.
Any way this is a folder to store my grungy, mixed media ATCs. I love this Graphic 45 range of pps so I have covered the ATC folder then covered with contact paper the photo is not very good I should have taken the photo before covering with contact.
I am also covering a folder collage style for my shabby style ATCs.

A LO I did for a colour challenge Black, white and yellow I am not happy with the way it turned out.

Another LO !!!!!

It is raining again this morning but I don't mind I love the rain it is good to stay indoors and scrap.
Yesterday I went to a craft show in Brissy, I came home with some new ideas and learnt new techniques and OH Yes spent about $450."""omgoodness"""
I bought some water colour crayons Lyra so there went $125...but oh so many beautiful colours and I did need them !!!!! lol
This is a LO I have done for a challenge at ART the challenge " Black and 2 colours "
So I have used black cardstock and a Tim Holtz spider web mask with purple chalk ink.
I had fun doing this and working with these colours,I have never used black purple and red together before.

Now I am up to date with all my ATC swaps ...thank goodness so I think I will have at least a weeks break from ATCs lol.
I am getting withdrawals need to do some LOs I have only done one in the last couple of weeks.
The last 2 ATCs I have made for a special friend the pps were sent to me by a relative from Japan the Kimonos I made using origami folding.
The first 2 are for a swap Theme "2"
So I have used 2 colours blues and greens.
and 2 embellishments... Bling flourishes and I have made origami flowers

Well I don't have much to show I haven't been on the net or scrapping, my rellies from Vic have been staying with us I have had the most wonderful time with them. Today is my first day on my own hubby has gone back to work and rellies have left so now it is time to find scrappy mojo

It has been a very wet day, so we have been busy cleaning and changing a few rooms around I have my family coming to stay for a few days. I have also done some baking a big batch of scones....Who doesn't like scones jam and cream !!!! I usually have a supply in the freeze..

Over at SWV there is a a sketch challenge here
A couple of weeks ago hubby went on the sky walk with a friend Noriel's hubby while Noriel and I shopped (a girl has gotta do what a girls gotta do) and that is shop lol
Hubby gave me this photo and said here is something to scrap....so I have just scrapped it..

The image is from the net,cut out and varnished,
The back ground red paper embossed and inked with white and black.
